Description: SibiL is a powerful female-fronted hard rock band based in Suffield, CT. They have made a name for themselves in the Hartford/Springfield area, and have taken a foothold in their local music scene. SibiL stands out because of their intense live show, stage presence and original musical style.
Vocalist Lee Lucas is often compared to a modern Grace Slick, and is known to jump off the stage into the crowd at most shows. Rick Lucas' melodic, yet heavy guitars are supported strongly by the dynamic slap bass of Jeff Matthews and steady drumming of Mike Jaczyk.
The band has gotten much acclaim from the media in the New England area, with favorable reviews in music publications, and steady support from Hartford's New Rock Radio 104. SibiL played the sold out 104 Fest in 2001, sharing the stage w/ Blink 182, Saliva, and Dave Navarro. The Fest had over 26,000 music fans in attendance.
Sibil was nominated for "Best Hard Rock Band" in the Hartford Grand Band Slam 2001, and also for "Best Alternative Band" in the Springfield Grand Band Slam 2001. Their debut cd "Into Madness" was released in October 2001 and the band is playing as many shows as possible to support the cd. For 2002 SibiL continues to be a determined, hard working band, doing all they can to bring their unique sound to the masses.
