Description: Based in cyberspace - a single human creating the sound of a full rock band. In December of 2000 Gordon released the Point of View CD. This project was recorded entirely in digital. Point of View is a concept album with lyrics addressing the foundations of belief systems and the possibility that humankind just might be a greater force than ever before imagined.

The self titled Gordon Lee Weaver album was released in 1994 and can still be purchased from the Creative Musicians Coalition. This unmastered CD stretched the limits of Gordon's recording studio and bank account.

Gordon Lee Weaver was born in The Dalles, Oregon on June 18, 1960. The Weaver family lived in the small town of Maupin Oregon until the summer of 1973. The family then moved to the even smaller town of Tygh Valley Oregon. While in High School Gordon was exposed to the sonic power of the electric guitar. Gordon started playing in 1974. Lessons with guitar teacher Garth Chaney formed the foundation. At Garth's urging Gordon and Henry Gable (another of Garth's students) got to together and soon formed a band with the help of Henry's brother Doug on drums and later Ben Troxel on bass and vocals. The band was unable to come up with a name and was given the moniker "Sunrise" by the High School librarian. Sunrise rehearsed frequently and played mostly High School dances. Sunrise played songs by Bachman Turner Overdrive, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, The Eagles, Foghat, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Ted Nugent, Queen, The Steve Miller Band and ZZ Top. Sunrise disbanded in the summer of 1978.

In the spring of 1979 Gordon took up residence in Portland Oregon and formed the Gordon Weaver Band with the charismaticTony Saiz on vocals, Randy Bennett on drums, Kenny Stocks on rhythm guitar and later Mike Deering on bass. The band developed a small following by playing AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Led Zeppelin, Nazareth, Van Halen and original tunes at parties and lasted until the fall of 1979.

Gordon again relocated, this time landing in The Dalles Oregon. Tony Saiz and Randy Bennett also moved to The Dalles and brought guitarist Shawn Tramel with them. These individuals eventually came together in the band Black Star. At different points in time this band had Ed Palmer on guitar and Dave Ridge on drums.This band struggled to find a permanent bass player (although Rick Meyer played bass for a while), but still managed to play parties, write uniquely disturbing rock tunes and experiment with studio recording. By the early 1980s Black Star disbanded. A few years later a tragic accident ended the promising lives of both Tony Saiz and Shawn Tramel.

After Black Star ended Gordon became more instensely involved in writing and recording all types of music. In 1986 Gordon moved to Hanford California and started to put together a home recording studio.

In 1992 Gordon completed a recording project named Shut Up & Listen. Although this project was never released the strength of the songwriting and the enthusiasm of the performances indicated that the time had come for Gordon to put out an album.
