Description: I have sparked interest by Liberation,Sony.

My music has, literally, been in my blood from birth - i am self taught in the saxaphone,clarinet and piano.

I have spent all my growing years around stages and recording studios thanks to my father who happened to be South Africa’s top singer with No. 1 hits dominating the charts in the 50’s.

He was known as the ‘King of Rock & Roll’ then and later moved to New Zealand to become one of the most sought after Cabaret singers.

I have continued the tradition by writing originals, producing and performing weekly in a local band.

History... For 2 years, as lead female vocalist in a duo I worked at the Manhattan and The Sheraton in Perth. I also decided to further my ‘craft’ and became interested in how recording studios functioned, and for 7 months I worked 12 hours a day, 7 days a week alongside Perth’s top Sound Engineer whose experience included working with the Eurythmics.

We worked hard but I was rewarded by having learnt a lot from these talented musicians. From there our band then went ‘on the road’ working our way through Kalgoorlie, Leinster and back to Perth.

On my return an opportunity came my way to broaden my singing experience and again I left the comforts of home and headed north to Broome for a month.

Our band collaborated with the “Choir Boys” and “The Waifs” and we backed them at their concerts.

Back in Perth and in between gigs, I continued to collaborate with my duo act and together we wrote a prolific array of original songs.

With all this experience we have created interesting and provocative music with “Just Want You” being a primary example of our song writing abilities.

I have also produced and designed the CD cover which was a lot easier than I had first envisaged!

Furthering my interest in music, i went up again to Broome with my current cover band - which has resulted in an offer for 3 months work.

At present i am completing an album with people recommended to me by Liberation. As well as working with other producers on new material - which i intend to be sent over to the eastern states in April this year. Update.... Tenille's song has just reached the finals nationally out of 2500 people...yay! I had reached the top 20 Australia wide with the song "Just want you" written by Steve Bartels and Tenille Bentley.
